As the 2nd edition of the 12th Young Scientists in Power Engineering approaches, we would like to give you the most important information about the Microsoft Teams sign-in and support process during our December symposium. Please read the information below.
Microsoft Teams was finally selected as the only official conference platform. We would like to ensure that even those who do not have an MS Teams account will be able to join each of the Conference meetings. For them, we have prepared a special manual on how to log in and use this application.
The official conference website provides instructions on how to sign in to YPE in Microsoft Teams (click here). It is suggested that you familiarize yourself with it and verify the accessibility to the application with your e-mail account (after receiving the invitation by e-mail).
People who don’t have a Microsoft Teams account and who do not use e-mails from the gmail.com domain are asked to create an e-mail account in the gmail.com domain. This domain guarantees full compatibility with the conference platform and is free of charge. If you do not have an email account in gmail.com domain, please create one (the process described in the manual). If you are interested in using your gmail account during our december Conference, you are required to send your address to the Organizing Committee (at kme@pwr.edu.pl) until 29.11.2020.
In the near future, you will receive separate emails inviting you to join the team created for II ed. of the XII YSPE in Microsoft Teams. Once you receive it, you have to sign in to the YSPE team in Microsoft Teams as soon as possible (the process is also described in the manual).
At the same time, we inform you that in order to provide adequate technical support before the first day of the conference, the Organizing Committee has prepared a series of so-called test days. They are designed to enable you to connect to the team in a controlled way, to check the correct working of the application (microphone, camera) and to familiarize yourself with the presentation in the MS Teams application (primarily screen sharing). The dates of these test days and the list of persons responsible for conducting them are given on the Conference website (click here).
Participation in test days is highly recommended. It will ensure unforeseen technical and organisational problems avoiding during the conference.
In case of technical problems, please contact:
Ms. Eng. Jean-Marc Fąfara: jean-marc.fafara@pwr.edu.pl
Ms. Eng. Maciej Cholewiński: maciej.cholewinski@pwr.edu.pl
Best regards,
The Organising Committee of the II ed. YPE
