AIRBUS ZEROE – THE AEROSPACE FUTURE WITH HYDROGEN

(lecture in english)

She is a representative of Airbus Operations GmbH.
As you will read in the Book of Abstracts:

“In order to actively contribute to the fulfillment of the aviation decarbonisation targets, Airbus’ plan is to offer its first hydrogen-powered commercial aircraft by 2035. The ZEROe project enables exploration of a variety of configurations and technologies that will prepare the development of a future hydrogen aircraft. The lecture(presentation) will focus on hydrogen as a future aviation fuel and specific technologies in the context of the investigated propulsion solutions. The presentation also looks into liquid hydrogen characteristics and technological challenges, related to the integration of the liquid hydrogen storage as well as the management system on a commercial aircraft.”

ROLE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES IN DECARBONIZATION OF INDUSTRY IN
POLAND

(lecture in polish)

He is the Deputy Director of Hydrogen Projects Development  at Polenergia S.A.
As you will read in the Book of Abstracts:

ENERGY STORAGE – CURRENT TECHNOLOGIES AND AN EXAMPLE OF REAL APPLICATION

(lecture in polish)

He is an employee of the Wrocław University of Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering and has been dealing with the issue of energy storage for many years.
As you will read in the summary:

“Current changes in the energy sector mean that storage energy is gaining in importance and is becoming an indispensable element of modern technologies energy systems. Integration of energy storage with systems electricity, district heating or industrial installations enables more
efficient use of energy, increasing the flexibility of the operation of production equipment,
stabilizing energy systems and balancing energy supply and demand…”

ORGANIC RANKINE CYCLE SYSTEMS – ISSUES OF WORKING MEDIUM AND EXPANSION SELECTION

(lecture in polish)

He is a professor at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering and for many years he has been studying the issue he agreed to present for us. As you will read in the summary:

“Układy organic Rankine cycle (ORC) znajdują coraz szersze zastosowanie do pozyskiwania energii ze źródeł alternatywnych (tj. odnawialnych i odpadowych). Jednym z najważniejszych zagadnień związanych z układami ORC jest prawidłowy dobór czynnika roboczego, który prowadzi się przy zastosowaniu różnych kryteriów”

If you want to find the answer to the question: what are the most important issues related to the selection of the working medium and the expander for ORC systems, we invite you!

Will it be interesting? Of course!

“Low-temperature waste energy – how to use it effectively to produce cold?”
(lecture in Polish)

He is a professor at the Białystok University of Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and (as we can read on the website: https://usosweb.pb.edu.pl/) his scientific interests include:

“Thermodynamic analysis of right- and left-hand circulation, the use of gas ejectors in refrigeration and air-conditioning systems – modeling and experimental research, designing gas ejectors, improving the efficiency of refrigeration equipment, heat pumps, solar air conditioning, heat exchange, modeling the properties of thermodynamic factors, CFD modeling (package FLUENT), gas dynamics, supersonic flows of refrigerants”

Will it be interesting? Of course!

Only one week left until the conference starts!

In the tab -> Schedule, there is a preliminary schedule of the conference. We invite you to familiarize yourself with it. At the same time, we would like to inform you that the final schedule will appear this Friday.

We also invite you to follow our website, because from tomorrow there will be a description of one guest lecture.

See you soon!

Thank you for participating in the confernce! We will announce the results of the contest soon!

During the three-day session:

over 50 people attended,

17 presentations were given,

4 plenary lectures were held,

participants from as many as: 12 research institutions and companies!

Thank you and see you next year!

Interesting opportunities for Young Scientists in the area of CO2

Dear Participants

Professor Franz Winter from TU Wien was impressed with the quality of works presented by participants.

Therefore he asked us to pass this message:

We have 10 open PhD positions in the area of CO2 (energy technology, chemical engineering, chemistry) at TU Wien in Vienna Austria. The application is open.

You will find further information at:

https://www.vt.tuwien.ac.at/co2refinery/

https://jobs.tuwien.ac.at/Job/140171?culture=en

Maybe this is of interest of participants. You may share this information.

Best regards

Franz Winter
