Ladies and Gentleman,
It is our pleasure to inform that during 9-11 of December 2020 a second edition of the XII Conference “Young Specialists in Power Engineering” will be held. Because of the ongoing SARS-CoV-19 epidemic, the Symposium is going to be organized remotely via Microsoft Teams and ZOOM applications.
As in previous years, there will be discussed energy-related aspects concerning power engineering. The scientific character of the meeting will be assured by students, PhD candidates, members of the science clubs, University employees and entrepreneurs who will present their findings of their research.
The 1st of November 2020 is the deadline for registration. Registration formula can be found here. People who would like to register at a later date are kindly asked to contact the Orgaziners via e-mail (maciej.cholewinski@pwr.edu.pl).
The main sponsors of the Symposium are PGE Górnictwo, Energetyka Konwencjonalna S.A. and the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering – the main organizer of the KME Conference. Thanks to the support of our partners, the participation in the event is free of charge.
During the second edition of the XII KME we offer one of two forms of the active presentation: oral presentation in polish or english language (12-15 min + discussion time) or a poster with a 2-3 minute presentation during the special multimedia poster session. Each active member is going to obtain a certificate and a conference kit. Additionally, a competition for the best presentation and the best poster will be held.
In order to prepare an abstract for the presentation (both oral and a poster) it is required to use the template located here. The actual posters and presentations are to be prepared on your own (no official template), only making sure to include the appropriate logo of the conference. Poster format: A2, A1 lub A0.
The presented content will be published in the book of abstracts of the II edition of the XII KME (with ISBN number) issued by the printing house of Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. The lecturers will also have an opportunity to publish their article in the post-conference monograph “Zeszyty Energetyczne” (with ISSN number). For the published chapter in the monograph “Zeszyty Energetyczne”, according to the ordinance of Minister of Science and Higher Education from the 22 of February 2019 r. about evaluation of the quality of scientific activity, there are 20 points MNiSW.
